A touch of history

Most probably,  not everyone has ever known the town of Barili and how its name is derived.  So, here’s a quick glimpse of its humble beginning.  The name “Barili” came from a kind of grass that’s growing just within the locality – the Balili. Accordingly, the Spaniards had a little difficulty in properly pronouncing the word “Balili” and ended up with “Barili”. It became acceptable to local folks and later on,  the town was named “Barili”.
